It is the oldest grand slam of all therefore is considered is the most prestigious of all tournaments in tennis. The tournament is host by The All England Lawn Tennis Club. The most distinctive of its features is, all the players are dressed in white shirts and shorts, as well it is played on Grass courts.

  1. The Wimbledon is arguably the greatest tournament in tennis history which is played in the months of June. Moreover, among the various major tournaments that are played in the year Wimbledon is the oldest of all. The Wimbledon tournament as highlighted by the author has a dress code that is all the players must wear white clothes and is played on the grass court. This year the Wimbledon championship was won by Novak Djokovic of Serbia. The women's open was won by Angelique Kerber of Germany who defeated Serena Williams is a closely fought match.
